ex-Archives Conservator for the National Archives, Historian and Author

John Lilley was an archives conservator for the National Archives for 44 years, which inspired him to rescue documents from the Federation of London Deaf Clubs. His research and discoveries resulted in a published book documenting the 100 years anniversary of West Ham Deaf Club. John has also published a book based on the history of West Ham Deaf Football Club, from 1961 - 1969. He is currently working on another book outlining the history FDLC/GLDSC Deaf Badminton section since the 1920s.

John is now retired and actively participates in his local deaf  community, devoting most of his time to research work. His next target is to compile a book based on the history of British Deaf Badminton.
